Please book lodging in one of the three towns (Hailey, Ketchum, or Sun Valley). We will have shuttles that pick up and drop off in each location for all events.
All three towns are connected by one main highway. It takes about 20-25 minutes to get from one end to the other.

There are a few different airport options. Each have pros and cons and we have outlined them below to help you decide which makes the most sense for you.
Please note that Boise is the most affordable and most flexible option. There is a shuttle from Boise airport to Sun Valley for those that don’t want to rent a car and drive. Sun Valley is definitely the most convenient, but in peak season it will be pricey.
Please let us know if you need any help deciding.
Speed limits in Hailey, Ketchum, and any town you may drive through on the way are highly enforced. Towns are small, officers will be excited to write you a ticket for doing 26mph in a 25 zone.
Sun Valley is one of the premiere resort towns in America. If you can make a vacation around this trip, we encourage you to do so. Technically, the entire Wood River Valley is known as “Sun Valley” but the main towns are Hailey, Ketchum, and Sun Valley.
Hailey is the biggest, but is still only about 4 stop lights long on Main Street. Ketchum has more of the night-life scene. Both towns have very walkable streets with restaurants, shops, and bars. They are only a 20-or-so minute drive apart on the main (and only) highway between them.
Sun Valley is only a few minutes past Ketchum. The entire town was pretty much born around the historic ski Lodge/inn.
Summer in Sun Valley is beautiful and very green. It’s warm during the day (which lasts until about 9pm) and then cools down once the sun sets.
Similiar to a desert climate, it will be extremely dry and could be in the 80s during the day and 50s at night.
Sun Valley is at high elevation (over 6,000 feet above sea level). Make sure to bring layers and to stay hydrated.
For those considering extending your stay (or looking to get out and explore in between wedding events) here are some things to do and see.
Bikes can be rented in Hailey, Sun Valley, or Ketchum. In the past, we've rented from the Ski Lodge at River Run and ridden through Ketchum to Sun Valley and back. It's a scenic and easy ride with plenty of places to stop off for snacks or a drink. If you want something a little harder and off-the beaten path, there are many trails all over the valley.
Sun Valley Lodge has an outdoor ice rink that's open year round. Experience skating out in the sunshine, or if you don't do ice skating, you can have a cocktail on the patio and experience it as a spectator.
The Sun Valley Club has an 18-hole putting course. Great way to spend an hour or two outside, surrounded by dramatic views of the mountains. Club rentals are available inside.
There are 3 beautiful courses in the valley - Trail Creek, Elkhorn, and White Clouds. Trail Creek's 18-hole championship course spans a sweeping 6,968 yards. The alpine links-style nine-hole White Clouds course offers 3,600 yards of play, with 360-degree views of the Wood River Valley.
You can find a hike pretty much anywhere in the valley. With nearly 400 miles of singletrack and 30 miles of paved, car-free trails ranging from fast and smooth to technical and challenging or just plain striking - there's a trail for every mood. For more info, Download a Map.
For those not obligated by day-off wedding duties, the Hailey parade is a fun way to kick off the day. The whole town comes out for a show of local performances, horses, every firetruck in the valley, and interesting tractors.
A natural wonder, this ice cave is the largest known lava ice cave in the world, extending 1,000 feet deep. The temperature is consistently 23-33 degrees year round. Walking tours are offered for 45 mins to an hour and consist of a 3/4 mile hike and a total of 160 stairs going down to and coming back up from the cave. The cave is about 30mins from Hailey.
It’s hard to beat the views at Redfish Lake. This place has it all: snow-capped mountains, crystal-clear water, tree-laden hikes. The lake is located in the Sawtooth National Recreation Area, at the base of the Sawtooth Mountains - a little over an hour drive from Ketchum.
A National Monument & Preserve, the Craters of the Moon is a lava field of dried cinder cones, lava tubes, tree molds, lava rivers, spatter cones, and lava beds as far as you can see. This one is a trek - close to two hour drive from Hailey, so best for those making a vacation out of the trip.
